Employers have many types of jobs, each requiring different basic skills. The questions in the WorkKeys program assess the skills you have learned in life and gives them a number. You then match your skill number to that of local employers seeking the same type of talent and apply for the position through www.OhioMeansJobs.com
or directly to the company.
Maybe you enjoy and are good at running a cash register, maybe you have been complimented on your kindness and customer service, maybe you love driving or operating machinery, maybe you enjoy solving puzzles….. All of these skills can translate into well paying positions with some of Cleveland’s top corporations and manufacturers like Rockwell Industries, NAPA Auto Parts, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, Dick’s Sporting Goods , RTA and Aerotek, to name a few.
Optional: WorkKeys participants become eligible for training at NewBridge and Tri-C.
- Training is free for most participants.
- After training you can earn from $27,000 to $58,000 yearly depending upon your chosen career.
